The Higher Education Protection Network (HEPNet) is a national association linking together those that seek to advance the interactions of higher education institutions with children and youth.  We serve as a coordinated voice promoting good practices for protecting vulnerable populations and providing programming and resources appropriate to their needs.

We are advocates for youth partaking in activities and programs conducted by colleges and universities.  Child abuse happens too often and we seek to advance the interactions of higher education institutions that are serving children and youth.

Members receive a wealth of resources, such as networking, benchmarking, and good practice guides. While anyone supporting our mission is eligible to become a member, non-members are welcome to peruse the site and view our public resources

RESOURCE SPOTLIGHT

HEPNet members receive numerous resources.  Each month, we highlight different resources.

Affinity & Affiliated Groups

We are working on partnerships with many groups that can bring expertise and breadth to HEPNet.  For example, we work closely with the American Camp Association (ACA) in aligning camp accreditation standards with the higher education environment and ACA has an affinity group for Camps on Campus.  We are currently reaching out to many other organizations and associations to form meaningful partnerships and experiences.
